2 Crónicas 13

1 A los diez y ocho años del rey Jeroboam reinó Abías sobre Judá,

In year eight-teen of the king Jeroboam and he became king Abijah over Judah.

2 Y reinó tres años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fue Micaia, hija de Uriel de Gabaa. Y hubo guerra entre Abías y Jeroboam.

Three years he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Micaiah [the] daughter of Uriel from Gibeah and war it was between Abijah and between Jeroboam.

3 Y Abías ordenó batalla con el ejército de los valerosos en la guerra, cuatrocientos mil hombres escogidos: y Jeroboam ordenó batalla contra él con ochocientos mil hombres escogidos, fuertes y valerosos.

And he bound Abijah the battle with an army of mighty [men] of war four hundred thousand man chosen. And Jeroboam he drew up in formation with him battle with eight hundred thousand man chosen mighty of strength.

4 Y levantóse Abías sobre el monte de Semerón, que es en los montes de Efraím, y dijo: Oídme Jeroboam, y todo Israel:

And he stood Abijah on [the] mountain of Zemaraim which [is] in [the] hill country of Ephraim and he said listen to me O Jeroboam and all Israel.

5 ¿No sabéis vosotros, que Jehová Dios de Israel dio el reino a David sobre Israel perpetuamente, a él y a sus hijos en alianza de sal?

¿ Not [belong] to you [does] to know that Yahweh - [the] God of Israel he has given kingship to David over Israel for ever to him and to descendants his a covenant of salt.

6 ¿Y que Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, siervo de Salomón, hijo de David, se levantó y se rebeló contra su señor:

And he arose Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat [the] servant of Solomon [the] son of David and he rebelled on master his.

7 Y que se allegaron a él hombres vanos, e hijos de Belial: y pudieron más que Roboam, hijo de Salomón; porque Roboam era mozo, y tierno de corazón, y no se esforzó delante de ellos?

And they gathered to him men empty sons of worthlessness and they proved themselves strong over Rehoboam [the] son of Solomon and Rehoboam he was a young man and weak of heart and not he showed himself strong before them.

8 Y ahora vosotros consultáis para fortificaros contra el reino de Jehová, que está en mano de los hijos de David; y sois muchos, y tenéis con vosotros los becerros de oro, que Jeroboam os hizo por dioses.

And now - you [are] saying to show yourselves strong before [the] kingdom of Yahweh in [the] hand of [the] descendants of David and you [are] a multitude great and [are] with you calves of gold which he made for you Jeroboam to gods.

9 ¿No echasteis vosotros los sacerdotes de Jehová, los hijos de Aarón, y los Levitas, y os habéis hecho sacerdotes a la manera de los pueblos de las tierras, que cualquiera venga a consagrarse con un becerro, hijo de vaca, y siete carneros, y sea sacerdote de los que no son dioses?

¿ Not have you driven out [the] priests of Yahweh [the] descendants of Aaron and the Levites and you have appointed for yourselves priests like [the] peoples of the lands every [one who] comes to fill own hand his with a young bull a young one of cattle and rams seven and he will become a priest to not gods.

10 Mas a nosotros, Jehová es nuestro Dios y no le dejamos: y los sacerdotes que ministran a Jehová son los hijos de Aarón, y los Levitas en la obra:

And we Yahweh [is] God our and not we have forsaken him and [we are] priests serving Yahweh [the] descendants of Aaron and the Levites [are] in the work.

11 Los cuales queman a Jehová los holocaustos cada mañana y cada tarde, y los perfumes aromáticos, y ponen los panes sobre la mesa limpia, y el candelero de oro con sus candilejas para que ardan cada tarde; porque nosotros guardamos la observancia de Jehová nuestro Dios: mas vosotros le habéis dejado.

And [are] making smoke to Yahweh burnt offerings in the morning in the morning and in the evening in the evening and incense of perfume and [the] row of bread on the table clean and [the] lampstand of gold and lamps its to burn in the evening in the evening for [are] keeping we [the] duty of Yahweh God our and you you have forsaken him.

12 Y, he aquí, Dios está con nosotros por cabeza, y sus sacerdotes, y las trompetas del júbilo, para que suenen contra vosotros. Oh hijos de Israel, no peleéis contra Jehová el Dios de vuestros padres, porque no os sucederá bien.

And here! [is] with us at the head God - and priests his and [the] trumpets of the alarm to sound [the] battle signal on you O people of Israel may not you do battle with Yahweh [the] God of ancestors your for not you will succeed.

13 Y Jeroboam hizo una emboscada al derredor, para venir a ellos por las espaldas: y la emboscada estaba a las espaldas de Judá, y ellos delante.

And Jeroboam he had caused to go round the ambush to come from behind them and they were to front of Judah and the ambush [was] from behind them.

14 Entonces como miró Judá, he aquí que tenían batalla delante y a las espaldas. Y clamaron a Jehová, y los sacerdotes tocaron las trompetas.

And they turned Judah and there! [was] to them the battle before and behind and they cried out to Yahweh and the priests ([were] blowing a trumpet *Qk) on trumpets.

15 Y los de Judá alzaron grita. Y como ellos alzaron grita, Dios venció a Jeroboam y a todo Israel delante de Abías y de Judá.

And they sounded [the] battle signal [the] man of Judah and it was when sounded [the] battle signal [the] man of Judah and God he defeated Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.

16 Y huyeron los hijos de Israel delante de Judá: y Dios los entregó en sus manos.

And they fled [the] people of Israel from before Judah and he gave them God in hand their.

17 Y Abías y su pueblo hacían en ellos gran mortandad: y cayeron heridos de Israel quinientos mil hombres escogidos.

And they struck down among them Abijah and people his a striking great and they fell slain of Israel five hundred thousand man chosen.

18 Así fueron humillados los hijos de Israel en aquel tiempo: y los hijos de Judá se fortificaron; porque estribaban en Jehová el Dios de sus padres.

And they were humbled [the] people of Israel at the time that and they were strong [the] people of Judah for they depended on Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their.

19 Y siguió Abías a Jeroboam, y tomó sus ciudades, a Bet-el con sus aldeas, a Jesana con sus aldeas, a Efrón con sus aldeas.

And he pursued Abijah after Jeroboam and he captured from him cities Beth-el and daughters its and Jeshanah and daughters its and (Ephrayin *QK) and daughters its.

20 Y nunca más Jeroboam tuvo fuerza en los días de Abías: y Jehová le hirió, y murió.

And not he retained [the] strength of Jeroboam again in [the] days of Abijah and he struck him Yahweh and he died.

21 Mas Abías se fortificó: y tomóse catorce mujeres, y engendró veinte y dos hijos, y diez y seis hijas.

And he strengthened himself Abijah and he took for himself wives four-teen and he fathered twenty and two sons and six-teen daughters.

22 Lo demás de los hechos de Abías, sus caminos, y sus negocios, está escrito en la historia de Addo profeta.

And [the] rest of [the] matters of Abijah and ways his and words his [are] written in [the] record of the prophet Iddo.
