2 Tesalonicenses 1

1 PABLO, y Silvano, y Timotéo, á la iglesia de los Tesalonicenses [que es] en Dios nuestro Padre, y en el Señor Jesu-Cristo:

Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

2 Gracia y paz á vosotros de Dios nuestro Padre, y del Señor Jesu-Cristo.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Debemos siempre dar gracias á Dios de vosotros, hermanos, como es digno, por cuanto vuestra fé va creciendo, y la caridad de cada uno de todos vosotros abunda entre vosotros;

We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you towards one another abounds,

4 Tanto, que nosotros mismos nos gloriamos de vosotros en las iglesias de Dios, de vuestra paciencia y fé en todas vuestras persecuciones y tribulaciones que sufrís:

so that we ourselves boast about you in the assemblies of God for your perseverance and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you endure.

5 Una demostracion del justo juicio de Dios, para que seais tenidos por dignos del reino de Dios, por el cual asimismo padeceis.

This is an obvious sign of the righteous judgement of God, to the end that you may be counted worthy of God’s Kingdom, for which you also suffer.

6 Porque [es] justo para con Dios pagar con tribulacion á los que os atribulan:

For it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you,

7 Y á vosotros, que sois atribulados, [dar] reposo con nosotros, cuando se manifestará el Señor Jesus del cielo con los ángeles de su potencia,

and to give relief to you who are afflicted with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,

8 Como llama de fuego, para dar el pago á los que no conocieron á Dios, ni obedecen al Evangelio de nuestro Señor Jesu-Cristo;

punishing those who don’t know God, and to those who don’t obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus,

9 Los cuales serán castigados de eterna perdicion por la presencia del Señor, y por la gloria de su potencia, (aiōnios g166)

who will pay the penalty: eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might, (aiōnios g166)

10 Cuando viniere para ser glorificado en sus santos, y á hacerse admirable en aquel dia en todos los que creyeron: (por cuanto nuestro testimonio ha sido creido entre vosotros.)

when he comes in that day to be glorified in his saints and to be admired amongst all those who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.

11 Por lo cual asimismo oramos siempre por vosotros, que nuestro Dios os tenga por dignos de [su] vocacion, é hincha de bondad todo buen intento, y á [toda] obra de fé con potencia.

To this end we also pray always for you that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfil every desire of goodness and work of faith with power,

12 Para que el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesu-Cristo sea glorificado en vosotros, y vosotros en él, por la gracia de nuestro Dios, y del Señor Jesu-Cristo.

that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
