1 Corintios 4

1 Seamos juzgados como siervos de Cristo, y como aquellos que son administradores de las cosas secretas de Dios.

Thus let a man regard us as of helpers of Christ, and managers of mysteries of God.

2 Y se requiere que los administradores, sean dignos de confianza.

And beyond that, it is sought in managers that any man should be found faithful.

3 En cuanto a mi respecta, muy poco me preocupa ser juzgado por ustedes, o por el juicio del hombre; Ni siquiera me juzgo a mí mismo.

But it is a very small thing to me that I might be appraised by you or by a day of mankind. Yet neither do I appraise myself,

4 Porque no soy consciente de ningún error en mí mismo; pero esto no me justifica que sea libre de culpa, porque es el Señor quien es mi juez.

for I know nothing on myself. Yet I have not been made righteous in this, but he who appraises me is the Lord.

5 Por lo cual, no juzguemos antes de tiempo, hasta que venga el Señor, que aclarará lo secreto de la oscuridad, y manifestará las intenciones del corazón; y entonces cada hombre tendrá su alabanza de Dios.

Therefore do not judge anything before the time, until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and make public the deliberations of the hearts. And then praise will come to each man from God.

6 Hermanos míos, es por ustedes que tomé Apolos y a mí mismo como ejemplos de estas cosas, para que en nosotros puedan ver que no es prudente ir más allá de lo que está escrito, para que nadie se enorgullezca de favorecer uno en perjuicio de otro.

Now these things, brothers, I applied to myself and Apollos for your sakes, so that in us ye might learn not to think above that which is written, so that ye may not be puffed up, one over the one against the other.

7 Porque ¿quién te hizo mejor que tu hermano? o ¿qué tienes que no te haya sido dado? pero si se te ha dado, ¿qué motivo tienes para el orgullo, como si no te hubiera sido dado?

For who makes thee different? And what have thou that thou did not receive? And also if thou received it, why do thou boast as not having received it?

8 Porque incluso ahora están llenos, incluso ahora tienen riquezas, han sido hecho reyes sin nosotros: en verdad, me alegraría si fueran reyes, para reinar con ustedes.

Already ye are filled. Already ye have become rich. Ye reigned without us, and O that ye did indeed reign, so that we also might reign with you.

9 Porque me parece que Dios nos ha puesto últimos Apóstoles, como hombres cuyo destino es la muerte; porque somos puestos a la vista del mundo, y de los ángeles, y de los hombres.

For I think God has exhibited us the apostles least, as men sentenced to die, because we became a spectacle to the world, both to agents and to men.

10 Hemos sido hechos tontos por Cristo, pero ustedes sabios en Cristo; somos débiles, pero ustedes fuertes; se les honra, pero a nosotros se nos desprecia.

We are foolish for the sake of Christ, but ye are wise in Christ. We are weak, but ye are strong. Ye are esteemed, but we are disreputable.

11 Aún a esta hora estamos sin comida, bebida y ropa, recibimos golpes y no tenemos un lugar seguro para descansar;

As far as the present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are ill clothed, and are treated roughly, and are homeless.

12 Y con nuestras manos hacemos el trabajo más duro: cuando nos dan maldiciones, damos bendiciones, cuando sufrimos un castigo lo tomamos en silencio;

And we toil, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;

13 Cuando nos difaman, rogamos, contestamos con bondad: somos hechos como las cosas inmundas del mundo, como aquello para lo cual nadie tiene ningún uso, incluso hasta ahora.

being slandered, we entreat. We became as trash of the world, an offscouring of all things, until now.

14 No estoy diciendo estas cosas para avergonzarlos, sino para darles un consejo como mis queridos hijos.

I do not write these things shaming you, but I warn you as my beloved children.

15 Porque si tuvieran diez mil maestros en Cristo, no tienen más de un padre; porque en Cristo Jesús yo los engendré a través de las buenas nuevas.

For though ye have countless instructors in Christ, yet not many fathers. For in Christ Jesus I begot you through the good news.

16 Así que mi deseo es que me tomen como su ejemplo que me imiten a mí.

I beseech you therefore, become followers of me.

17 Por esta causa he enviado a Timoteo a ustedes que es mi querido y verdadero hijo en el Señor; Él les recordará de mi conducta como creyente en Cristo Jesús, así como yo estoy enseñando en todas partes en cada iglesia.

Because of this I sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, just as I teach everywhere in every congregation.

18 Ahora algunos están llenos de orgullo, como si yo no fuera a ustedes.

But as of me not coming to you, some men are puffed up.

19 Pero iré a ustedes dentro de poco tiempo, si es agradable al Señor, y tomaré nota, no de la palabra de aquellos que están llenos de orgullo, sino del poder.

But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord should will, and I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power.

20 Porque el reino de Dios no consiste en palabras, sino en poder.

For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

21 ¿Cuál es tu deseo? ¿Que vaya dispuesto a castigarlos, o que vaya a verlos con amor y espíritu gentil?

What do ye want? Should I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of meekness?
