1 ‌ʻAe ngaahi ʻeiki, ʻatu ki hoʻomou kau tamaioʻeiki ʻaia ʻoku totonu mo tatau; he ʻoku mou ʻilo ʻoku ai homou ʻEiki foki ʻi he langi.

Masters, give to slaves what is right and fair. You know that you also have a master in heaven.

2 Fai maʻu pe ʻae lotu, pea leʻo ʻi ai mo fakafetaʻi;

Continue steadfastly in prayer. Stay alert in it in thanksgiving.

3 Pea lotua ʻakimautolu foki, koeʻuhi ke toʻo kiate kimautolu ʻe he ʻOtua ʻae matapā ʻoe lea, ke lea ʻaki ʻae meʻa fakalilolilo ʻa Kalaisi, ʻaia kuo haʻisia ai au:

Pray together for us also, that God would open a door for the word, to speak the secret truth of Christ. Because of this, I am chained up.

4 Koeʻuhi ke u fakahā atu ia, ʻo taau mo ia ʻoku totonu ke u lea ʻaki.

Pray that I may make it clear, as I ought to speak.

Walk in wisdom toward those outside, and redeem the time.

Let your words always be with grace. Let them be seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer each person.

7 E fakahā atu ʻeku meʻa kotoa pē kiate kimoutolu ʻe Tikiko, ʻaia ko e tokoua ʻofeina, mo e faifekau angatonu mo e kaungā tamaioʻeiki ʻi he ʻEiki:

As for the things concerning me, Tychicus will make them known to you. He is a beloved brother, a faithful servant, and fellow slave in the Lord.

8 ‌ʻAia kuo u fekau atu kiate kimoutolu koeʻuhi ko e meʻa ko ia, pea koeʻuhi ke ne ʻilo pe ʻoku mou fēfē, pea fakafiemālie ki homou loto;

I sent him to you for this, that you might know the matters about us, and so that he may encourage your hearts.

9 Pea mo Onesimosi, ko e tokoua angatonu mo ʻofeina, ʻaia ko homou tokotaha. Te na fakaʻilo kiate kimoutolu ʻae meʻa kotoa pē ʻi heni.

I sent him together with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will tell you everything that has happened here.

10 Ko ʻAlisitako, ho hoku kaunga nofo fale fakapōpula, ʻoku ʻofa atu kiate kimoutolu, mo Maʻake, ko e tama ʻae tuofefine ʻo Pānepasa, (ʻa ʻia naʻa mou maʻu ʻae fekau ʻoku kau kiate ia: kapau ʻoku ʻalu atu ia kiate kimoutolu, maʻu ia; )

Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, greets you, as well as Mark, the cousin of Barnabas (about whom you received orders; if he comes to you, receive him),

and also Jesus who is called Justus. These alone of the circumcision are my fellow workers for the kingdom of God. They have been a comfort to me.

12 Ko Epafasi, ko homou tokotaha, ko e tamaioʻeiki ʻa Kalaisi, ʻoku ʻofa atu ia kiate kimoutolu: ʻoku fai feinga maʻuaipē ia koeʻuhi ko kimoutolu ʻi he ngaahi lotu, koeʻuhi ke mou tuʻu haohaoa mo kakato ʻi he finangalo kotoa pē ʻoe ʻOtua.

Epaphras greets you. He is one of you and a slave of Christ Jesus. He always strives for you in prayer, so that you may stand complete and fully assured in all the will of God.

13 He ʻoku ou fakamoʻoni ki ai, ʻoku ʻiate ia ʻae loto feinga lahi kiate kimoutolu, pea mo kinautolu ʻoku ʻi Leotisia, mo kinautolu ʻoku ʻi Heilapoli.

For I bear witness of him, that he works hard for you, for those in Laodicea, and for those in Hierapolis.

14 Ko Luke, ko e faitoʻo ʻofeina, mo Timasi, ʻoku na ʻofa atu kiate kimoutolu.

Luke the beloved physician and Demas greet you.

15 Tala atu ʻeku ʻofa ki he kāinga ʻoku ʻi Leotisia, mo Nimifa, mo e siasi ʻi hono fale.

Greet the brothers in Laodicea, and Nympha, and the church that is in her house.

16 Pea ʻoka lau ʻae tohi ni ʻiate kimoutolu, vakai ke lau ia foki ki he siasi ʻoe kakai Leotisia; pea ke mou lau foki ʻae tohi mei Leotisia.

When this letter has been read among you, have it read also in the church of the Laodiceans, and see that you also read the letter from Laodicea.

17 Pea tala kia ʻAkipa, “Ke ke vakai ki he ngāue kuo ke maʻu mei he ʻEiki, koeʻuhi ke ke fai ia.”

Say to Archippus, “Look to the ministry that you have received in the Lord, that you should fulfill it.”
