1 Bunun için, göksel çağrıya ortak olan kutsal kardeşlerim, dikkatinizi açıkça benimsediğimiz inancın elçisi ve başkâhini İsa'ya çevirin.
Wherefore, my holy brethren, who have been called with the calling that from heaven, contemplate this Apostle and High Priest of our confession, JESHU MESHIHA!
2 Musa Tanrı'nın bütün evinde Tanrı'ya nasıl sadık kaldıysa, İsa da kendisini görevlendirene sadıktır.
who was faithful to him who made him, as (was) Musha in all his house.
3 Evi yapan nasıl evden daha çok saygı görürse, İsa da Musa'dan daha büyük yüceliğe layık sayıldı.
For greater is the glory of this (One) by far than (the glory) of Musha, even as the honour of him who built the house is far greater than his building.
4 Her evin bir yapıcısı vardır, her şeyin yapıcısı ise Tanrı'dır.
For every house by some man is builded; but He who built all is Aloha.
5 Musa, gelecekte söylenecek sözlere tanıklık etmek için Tanrı'nın bütün evinde bir hizmetkâr olarak sadık kaldı.
And Musha, as a servant, was faithful in all his house, for the testimony of those that were to be announced him;
6 Oysa Mesih, O'nun evi üzerinde yetkili oğul olarak sadıktır. Eğer cesaretimizi ve övündüğümüz umudu gevşemeden sonuna dek sürdürürsek, O'nun evi biziz.
but the Meshiha as THE SON over his house: and his house are we, if, unto the end, we shall hold fast our confidence, and the triumph of his hope.
7 Bu nedenle, Kutsal Ruh'un dediği gibi, “Bugün O'nun sesini duyarsanız, Atalarınızın başkaldırdığı, Çölde O'nu sınadığı günkü gibi Yüreklerinizi nasırlaştırmayın.
Therefore the Spirit of Holiness hath said, to-day if ye will hear his voice,
harden not your hearts unto the angering of him, as (did) the embitterers, and as the day of temptation in the desert,
9 Atalarınız beni orada sınayıp denediler Ve kırk yıl boyunca yaptıklarımı gördüler.
when your fathers tempted me, and proved (and) saw my works forty years.
10 Bu nedenle o kuşağa darıldım Ve dedim ki, ‘Yürekleri hep kötüye sapar, Yollarımı öğrenmediler.
On which account I was wearied with that generation; and said, It is a people that doth err (in) their heart, and that hath not known my ways.
11 Öfkelendiğimde ant içtiğim gibi, Onlar huzur diyarıma asla girmeyecekler.’”
So that I sware in my wrath, that they should not enter into my rest.
12 Ey kardeşler, hiçbirinizde diri Tanrı'yı terk eden kötü, imansız bir yüreğin bulunmamasına dikkat edin.
Beware, therefore, my brethren, lest there be in any man among you an evil heart which believeth not, and ye depart from Aloha the living.
13 “Gün bugündür” denildikçe birbirinizi her gün yüreklendirin. Öyle ki, hiçbirinizin yüreği günahın aldatıcılığıyla nasırlaşmasın.
But examine yourselves all the days, until the day which is called THAT DAY, lest any one of you be hardened by the deceptiveness of sin.
14 Çünkü Mesih'e ortak olduk. Yalnız başlangıçtaki güvenimizi gevşemeden sonuna dek sürdürmeliyiz.
For we are made participators with the Meshiha, if, from the beginning and unto the end, in this very standing we steadfastly persist.
15 Yukarıda belirtildiği gibi, “Bugün O'nun sesini duyarsanız, Atalarınızın başkaldırdığı günkü gibi Yüreklerinizi nasırlaştırmayın.”
As that it is said, To-day, if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts to provoke him.
16 O'nun sesini işitip başkaldıran kimlerdi? Musa önderliğinde Mısır'dan çıkanların hepsi değil mi?
For who are they who heard and provoked him? Not all they who came out of Metsreen by the hand of Musha.
17 Tanrı kimlere kırk yıl dargın kaldı? Günah işleyip cesetleri çöle serilenlere değil mi?
And with whom was he wearied forty years, but with them who sinned, and whose bones fell in the desert?
18 Sözünü dinlemeyenler dışında kendi huzur diyarına kimlerin girmeyeceğine ant içti?
And of whom did he swear that they should not enter into his rest, but of them who would not be persuaded?
19 Görüyoruz ki, imansızlıklarından ötürü oraya giremediler.
And we see that they were not able to enter in, because they did not believe.
