< Romans 1 >

1 Polo kisadi ki Yesu Klisto, wutelo mu ba mvuala ayi wusobolo mu samuna Nsamu Wumboti wu Nzambi.
From Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, who has been called to become an apostle, and has been set apart to tell God’s good news.
2 Nsamu wumboti beni wawu kakivanina tsila tona thama mu mimbikudi mu Masonoko Manlongo.
This good news God promised long ago through his prophets in the sacred scriptures,
3 Wawu Nsamu beni weta yolukila mambu ma Muanꞌandi, mu kimutu kiandi, wubutuka mu nkuna Davidi.
concerning his Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord; who, as to his human nature, was descended from David,
4 Bosi Yesu Klisto, mu pheve Yinlongo, wubieko Muana Nzambi mu lulendo lu mfulukuluꞌandi mu bafua.
but, as to the spirit of holiness within him, was miraculously designated Son of God by his resurrection from the dead.
5 Buabu mu diambu diandi, tutambudidi nlemvo ayi kimvuala mu nata mu dizina diandi batu ba makanda moso bawilukila ayi batumamana.
Through him we received the gift of the apostolic office, to win submission to the faith among all nations for the glory of his name.
6 Beno mamveno luidi mu dikabu diodi, ayi lutelo kuidi Yesu Klisto.
And among these nations are you – you who have been called to belong to Jesus Christ.
7 Ndieti sonika kuidi beno boso badi ku Loma, batu bobo Nzambi kanzolanga ayi beno lutelo mu ba banlongo! Bika nlemvo ayi ndembama bibedi kuidi Nzambi Dise dieto ayi kuidi Yesu Klisto Pfumu eto bibanga yeno.
To all in Rome who are dear to God and have been called to become Christ’s people, may God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ bless you and give you peace.
8 Va theti ndimvutula matondo kuidi Nzambi mu Yesu Klisto mu diambu dieno beno boso bila minu kieno kieti yolokolo mu nza yimvimba.
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because the report of your faith is spreading throughout the world.
9 Bila Nzambi yoyi ndieti sadila, mu ntimꞌama, mu longanga Nsamu Wumboti wu Muanꞌandi, niandi mbangi ama bila wummonanga mu zithangu zioso buevi ndikulutebukilanga moyo mu zitsambulu ziama.
God, to whom I offer the worship of my soul as I tell the goodness of his Son, is my witness how constantly I mention you when I pray,
10 Mu ziawu ndieti lombanga mu zithangu zioso, mu kuphana diluaku, mu luzolo luandi mu kuiza kulubumina.
asking that, if he be willing, I may some day at last find the way open to visit you.
11 Bila phuila yiwombo yidi yama mu kulumona muingi ndilutudisila dikaba di kipheve mu diambu luba bakinda.
For I long to see you, in order to impart to you some spiritual gift and so give you fresh strength –
12 Voti muingi tubombasana va kimosi, beno ayi minu, mu minu kioki tuididi kithuadi.
or rather that both you and I may find encouragement in each other’s faith.
13 Zikhomba thidi luzaba ti zikhumbu ziwombo ndibedi bakanga lukanu lukuiza lutadi vayi nate buabu ndibeki ko nzila, mu diambu ndibaka bu bakila ndambu yi mimbutu mu beno banga buididi mu makanda mankaka.
I want you to know, my friends, that I have many times intended coming to see you – but until now I have been prevented – that I might find among you some fruit of my labours, as I have already among the other nations.
14 Bila pholo yinneni ndidi kuidi basi Ngelese ayi kuidi batu bakambulu basi Ngelese; kuidi batu banduenga ayi batu bakambulu diela.
I have a duty to both the Greek and the barbarian, to both the cultured and the ignorant.
15 Diawu diodi ndidi phuila mu longa Nsamu Wumboti kuidi beno luidi ku Loma.
And so, for my part, I am ready to tell the good news to you also who are in Rome.
16 Bila ndimonanga tsoni ko mu diambu di Nsamu Wumboti; wawu widi lulendo lu Nzambi mu diambu di phulusu yi batu boso beti wilukila: tonina theti kuidi Bayuda bosi kuidi Bapakanu.
For I am not ashamed of the good news; it is the power of God which brings salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first, but also to the Greek.
17 Nsamu beni wumboti wawu weta monisa buevi buididi busonga bu Nzambi: bobo bawilukila; niandi wuba kitula basonga mu busonga bobo bu ntotukilanga mu, minu mu diambu di minu banga bu disonimina mu minkanda: Mu minu kaka mutu wu busonga kela zingilanga.
For in it there is a revelation of the divine righteousness resulting from faith and leading on to faith; as scripture says – “Through faith the righteous will find life.”
18 Zinganzi zi Nzambi zieti monikanga, tona ku diyilu ayi zimbuanga mu mavanga mambimbi mamvanganga batu bobo kaba kinzikanga Nzambi ko ayi bobo bakambulu basonga. Kambu kuawu ku busonga kulembo fietikisa kiedika.
So, too, there is a revelation from heaven of the divine wrath against every form of ungodliness and wickedness on the part of those people who, by their wicked lives, are stifling the truth.
19 Bila mambu momo balenda zaba mu diambu di Nzambi mazabikini kuidi bawu, ayi niandi veka Nzambi wuba zabikisa mambu beni.
This is so, because what can be known about God is plain to them; for God himself has made it plain.
20 Bila tona nza yivangulu; khadulu yi Nzambi yoyi kayimonikanga ko: lulendo luandi lukalumani ayi kinzambi kiandi; biawu bieti monika bumboti mu nzila yi bima bioso biobi kavanga; mu diambu babika baka phengomokono. (aïdios g126)
For ever since the creation of the universe God’s invisible attributes – his everlasting power and divinity – are to be seen and studied in his works, so that people have no excuse; (aïdios g126)
21 Bila, ka diambu ko, bazaba Nzambi vayi bamanga kuawu kunkembisa banga Nzambi ayi basia kumvutudila matondo ko vayi mayindu mawu makituka maphamba ayi tombi kiwala mu mintima miawu mikambu diela.
because, although they learned to know God, yet they did not offer him as God either praise or thanksgiving. Their speculations about him proved futile, and their undiscerning minds were darkened.
22 Bu bakiniemisa ti bawu batu ba diela, bakituka malawu
Professing to be wise, they showed themselves fools;
23 ayi baviakisa nkembo wu Nzambi yikayifuanga ko mu zimfikulazi batu bobo bamfuanga, mu zimfikula zi zinuni, zi bibulu ayi mu zimfikula zi bibulu biobi bindiatilanga mu vumu.
and they transformed the glory of the immortal God into the likeness of mortal humans, and of birds, and beasts, and reptiles.
24 Mu diambu di zinzinunu zi mintima miawu, Nzambi wuba yekula mu kambu ku vedila muingi bawu veka baki bivisa mu zinitu ziawu.
Therefore God abandoned them to impurity, letting them follow the cravings of their hearts, until they dishonoured their own bodies;
25 Bawu baviakisa luvunu va buangu ki kiedika ki Nzambi; basambila ayi basadila vangu va buangu ki mvangi, mutu wowo wusakumunu mu zikhama zi mimvu. Amen. (aiōn g165)
for they had substituted a lie for the truth about God, and had reverenced and worshiped created things more than the Creator, who is to be praised for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
26 Diawu Nzambi kaba yekudila mu zitsatu zitsoni: bila baketobawu baviakisa tsadulu yi kimutu yi zinitu ziawu mu tsadulu yikambulu yi kimutu.
That, I say, is why God abandoned them to degrading passions. Even the women among them perverted the natural use of their bodies to the unnatural;
27 Babakala, mamvawu bobuawu; va buangu kibundananga ayi baketo; bakiyekula mu zinzinunu ziawu mu bawu na bawu. Bavanga matsoni, babundana babakala na babakala, batambula mfutuwufueni mu nzimbala yawu.
while the men, disregarding that for which women were intended by nature, were consumed with passion for one another. Men indulged in vile practices with men, and incurred in their own persons the inevitable penalty for their perverseness.
28 Sumbu bamona ti kadi kuandi mfunu mu zaba Nzambi, diawu Nzambi kaba yekudila mu mayindu mawu ma buvungisi mu diambu bavanga mambu makambulu fuana.
Then, as they would not keep God before their minds, God abandoned them to depraved thoughts, so that they did all kinds of shameful things.
29 Bu baba bawala mu kambu ku busonga ayi mu mambimbi, mu bakanga zimbongo mu luvunu, mu mayuya; bawu badi batu bawedi kikhenene, zitsatu zi vonda; zi zonza, zi vuna, zi mavanga mambimbi.
They revelled in every form of wickedness, evil, greed, vice. Their lives were full of envy, murder, quarrelling, treachery, malice.
30 Baba batu bamfundananga batu, bantubidilanga badiawu, badi bambeni zi Nzambi, bankua bifingu, bankua luniemo ayi lunangu, bakukiniemisanga; minyindudi mi mambu ma mambimbi; batumukinanga bambuta ziawu ko.
They became back-biters, slanderers, impious, insolent, boastful. They devised new sins. They disobeyed their parents.
31 Basi kadi diela ko, batungunanga zitsila ziawu ko, basi ko luzolo kuidi badiawu ayi bamonanga batu kiadi ko.
They were undiscerning, untrustworthy, without natural affection or pity.
32 Bazebi bumboti nzengolo yisonga yi Nzambi yintuba ti: batu bamvanganga mambu mambimbi ma phila yayi bafueni mu vondo. Ka diambu ko buawu bobo beti vanga vayi beti mona khini mu diambu di batu bobo bamvanganga mawu.
Well aware of God’s decree, that those who do such things deserve to die, not only are they guilty of them themselves, but they even applaud those who do them.
