Lamentations 3
1 I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
Jaz sem človek, ki je videl stisko s palico njegovega besa.
2 He has led me and caused me to walk in darkness, and not in light.
Vodil me je in me privedel v temo, toda ne v svetlobo.
3 Surely he turns his hand against me again and again all day long.
Zagotovo je obrnjen zoper mene; svojo roko je obračal zoper mene ves dan.
4 He has made my flesh and my skin old. He has broken my bones.
Postaral je moje meso in mojo kožo, zlomil je moje kosti.
5 He has built against me, and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.
Zidal je zoper mene in me obdal z žolčem in muko.
6 He has made me dwell in dark places, as those who have been long dead.
Postavil me je v temne kraje, kakor tiste, ki so mrtvi od davnine.
7 He has walled me about, so that I cannot go out. He has made my chain heavy.
Ogradil me je naokoli, da ne morem priti ven. Mojo verigo je naredil težko.
8 Yes, when I cry, and call for help, he shuts out my prayer.
Tudi ko jokam in vpijem, on ustavlja mojo molitev.
9 He has walled up my ways with cut stone. He has made my paths crooked.
Moje steze je obdal s klesanim kamnom, moje poti je storil sprijene.
10 He is to me as a bear lying in wait, as a lion in hiding.
Bil mi je kakor medved, ki preži v zasedi in kakor lev na skrivnih krajih.
11 He has turned away my path, and pulled me in pieces. He has made me desolate.
Moje poti je obrnil vstran in me raztrgal. Naredil me je zapuščenega.
12 He has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
Upognil je svoj lok in me postavil kakor tarčo za puščico.
13 He has caused the shafts of his quiver to enter into my kidneys.
Puščicam svojega tula je storil, da vstopijo v mojo notranjost.
14 I have become a derision to all my people, and their song all day long.
Bil sem v posmeh vsemu svojemu ljudstvu in ves dan njihova pesem.
15 He has filled me with bitterness. He has stuffed me with wormwood.
Nasičeval me je z grenkobo, opijanjal me je s pelinom.
16 He has also broken my teeth with gravel. He has covered me with ashes.
Prav tako je moje zobe zlomil z ostrimi kamni, pokril me je s pepelom.
17 You have removed my soul far away from peace. I forgot prosperity.
Mojo dušo si odstranil daleč stran od miru. Pozabil sem uspevanje.
18 I said, “My strength has perished, along with my expectation from the LORD.”
Rekel sem: »Moja moč in moje upanje je izginilo od Gospoda,
19 Remember my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the bitterness.
spominjajoč se moje stiske in moje bede, pelina in žolča.
20 My soul still remembers them, and is bowed down within me.
Moja duša jih ima še vedno v spominu in je ponižana v meni.
21 This I recall to my mind; therefore I have hope.
To si ponovno kličem v svoj um, zato imam upanje.
22 It is because of the LORD’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his mercies do not fail.
To je od Gospodovih milosti, da nismo použiti, ker njegova sočutja ne odnehajo.
23 They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.
Ta so nova vsako jutro. Velika je tvoja zvestoba.
24 “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul. “Therefore I will hope in him.”
Gospod je moj delež, pravi moja duša, zato bom upal vanj.
25 The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.
Gospod je dober vsem tistim, ki čakajo nanj; duši, ki ga išče.
26 It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
Dobro je, da bi človek upal in tiho čakal na Gospodovo rešitev duše.
27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
Dobro je za človeka, da nosi jarem v svoji mladosti.
28 Let him sit alone and keep silence, because he has laid it on him.
Sedi sam in molči, ker ga je nosil na sebi.
29 Let him put his mouth in the dust, if it is so that there may be hope.
Svoja usta polaga v prah, morda bi bilo lahko še upanje.
30 Let him give his cheek to him who strikes him. Let him be filled full of reproach.
Svoje lice daje tistemu, ki ga udarja, napolnjen je z grajo.
31 For the Lord will not cast off forever.
Kajti Gospod ne bo zavrgel na veke,
32 For though he causes grief, yet he will have compassion according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
toda čeprav je povzročil žalost, bo vendar imel sočutje glede na množico svojih usmiljenj.
33 For he does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men.
Kajti on ni voljan prizadeti niti užalostiti človeških otrok.
34 To crush under foot all the prisoners of the earth,
Da bi pod svojimi stopali zdrobil vse jetnike zemlje,
35 to turn away the right of a man before the face of the Most High,
da bi odvrnil človekovo pravico pred obrazom Najvišjega,
36 to subvert a man in his cause, the Lord does not approve.
da človeka spodkoplje v njegovi pravdi, [tega] Gospod ne odobrava.
37 Who is he who says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord does not command it?
Kdo je tisti, ki pravi in se to zgodi, ko Gospod tega ne zapove?
38 Does not evil and good come out of the mouth of the Most High?
Iz ust Najvišjega ne izhaja zlo in dobro?
39 Why should a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
Zakaj se živeči človek pritožuje, človek zaradi kaznovanja svojih grehov?
40 Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.
Preiščimo in preizkusimo svoje poti in se ponovno obrnimo h Gospodu.
41 Let’s lift up our heart with our hands to God in the heavens.
Vzdignimo svoja srca s svojimi rokami k Bogu v nebesih.
42 “We have transgressed and have rebelled. You have not pardoned.
Pregrešili smo se in uprli. Ti nisi oprostil.
43 “You have covered us with anger and pursued us. You have killed. You have not pitied.
Pokril si [nas] s svojo jezo in nas preganjal. Umoril si, nisi se usmilil.
44 You have covered yourself with a cloud, so that no prayer can pass through.
Pokril si se z oblakom, da naša molitev ne bi šla skozi.
45 You have made us an off-scouring and refuse in the middle of the peoples.
Naredil si nas kakor izvržek in zavrnitev v sredi ljudstev.
46 “All our enemies have opened their mouth wide against us.
Vsi naši sovražniki so odprli svoja usta zoper nas.
47 Terror and the pit have come on us, devastation and destruction.”
Strah in zanka sta prišla nad nas, opustošenje in uničenje.
48 My eye runs down with streams of water, for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
Moje oko teče navzdol z rekami voda, zaradi uničenja hčere mojega ljudstva.
49 My eye pours down and does not cease, without any intermission,
Moje oko se izliva in ne preneha, brez kakršnegakoli predaha,
50 until the LORD looks down, and sees from heaven.
dokler Gospod ne pogleda dol in ne pogleda iz nebes.
51 My eye affects my soul, because of all the daughters of my city.
Moje oko prizadeva moje srce, zaradi vseh hčera mojega mesta.
52 They have chased me relentlessly like a bird, those who are my enemies without cause.
Moji sovražniki so me boleče preganjali kakor ptico, brez vzroka.
53 They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and have cast a stone on me.
Moje življenje so odsekali v grajski ječi in name vrgli kamen.
54 Waters flowed over my head. I said, “I am cut off.”
Vode so mi tekle čez glavo; potem sem rekel: »Odsekan sem.«
55 I called on your name, LORD, out of the lowest dungeon.
Klical sem k tvojemu imenu, oh Gospod, iz globine grajske ječe.
56 You heard my voice: “Do not hide your ear from my sighing, and my cry.”
Slišal si moj glas. Ne skrivaj svojega ušesa ob mojem dihanju, ob mojem klicu.
57 You came near in the day that I called on you. You said, “Do not be afraid.”
Priteguješ me na dan, ko sem klical k tebi. Ti praviš: »Ne boj se.«
58 Lord, you have pleaded the causes of my soul. You have redeemed my life.
Oh Gospod, zagovarjal si pravde moje duše, odkupil si moje življenje.
59 LORD, you have seen my wrong. Judge my cause.
Oh Gospod, videl si mojo krivico. Ti sodi mojo pravdo.
60 You have seen all their vengeance and all their plans against me.
Videl si vse njihovo maščevanje in vse njihove zamisli zoper mene.
61 You have heard their reproach, LORD, and all their plans against me,
Slišal si njihovo grajo, oh Gospod in vse njihove zamisli zoper mene;
62 the lips of those that rose up against me, and their plots against me all day long.
ustnice tistih, ki se vzdigujejo zoper mene in njihovo premišljevanje zoper mene ves dan.
63 You see their sitting down and their rising up. I am their song.
Glej, njihovo usedanje in njihovo vzdigovanje; jaz sem njihova glasba.
64 You will pay them back, LORD, according to the work of their hands.
Vrni jim povračilo, oh Gospod, glede na delo njihovih rok.
65 You will give them hardness of heart, your curse to them.
Daj jim bridkost srca, svoje prekletstvo nad njimi.
66 You will pursue them in anger, and destroy them from under the heavens of the LORD.
Preganjaj jih in jih uniči v jezi izpod Gospodovih nebes.
